Help or Get Involved with Soul Space
We welcome support in many ways, including offering financial support, gifts for frontline workers, or sharing of your skills and abilities.
Financial donations are always needed and welcome in order to support frontline workers' participation in Soul Space offerings at no cost to them. Your financial contribution is tax-deductible and can be a one-time or ongoing pledge of support. Acknowledgement of donations will be made and tax-receipts issued in January.
This is the preferred method as 100% of contributions go directly to programs to support frontline workers.
Donations can be sent to treasurer@firstunitedchurchottawa.org with the designation "Soul Space". No password is necessary.
Cheques, made out to First United Church, with a cover note indicating the donation is for Soul Space can be mailed to: First United Church, 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K2A 0E7.

We are currently seeking programming space in downtown Ottawa that can provide on-the-ground support for frontline workers (e.g., a drop-in centre, place to gather, connect, celebrate and to grieve), as well as sites closer to nature (30-50 minutes outside of Ottawa) for our retreats. If you have space that you are willing to share or lease, please get in touch!
Soul Space offerings would not be possible without the generosity of many organizations and individuals to support the development of Soul Space and to provide offerings and retreats to frontline street health and harm reduction workers at little to no cost.
Soul Space is overseen by a Steering Committee appointed by the Church Council of First United, a committee that provides program oversight as well as duty of care and financial accountability.
100% of all donations directed to Soul Space are used for the programming of Soul Space.
